The IHS is pleased to offer this new seminar series in which we will explore the distinctively modern phenomenon of globalization, the impact liberalism has had on that process, and the impact of globalization on those of a liberal mindset. These sessions will explore the Inter-war period and liberals’ responses to the development of a new international order, the advent of “neoliberalism” in the late-colonial and Cold War periods, the new challenges to liberalism offered by modern nationalists, and the global stage as it currently stands relative to modern liberalism. Sessions will take place on the fourth Wednesday of each month from May to August 2022, 2:00-4:00pm, on Zoom.
